High School Football Championships in Yulman Stadium

Tulane Athletics is pleased to host the 2021 Louisiana High School Athletic Association Select Divisions I and III Football State Championship games. The following games will take place Saturday, December 4th:

2pm - Lafayette Christian vs. St. Charles Catholic
7pm - Catholic High of Baton Rouge vs. Jesuit.

Fan parking for these games will be available in the Claiborne Lot, Diboll Garage, Newcomb Place, Drill Road and McAlister Drive.

Congratulations to all of the teams participating in the 2021 LHSAA State Championship games!

Prospect .5: Yesterday We Said Tomorrow at Newcomb Art Museum --- Free Tour Saturday, December 4 at 12pm

The Newcomb Art Museum presents a new exhibition as part of Prospect.5: Yesterday we said tomorrow, a citywide contemporary art triennial, on view October 23, 2021 through January 23, 2022.

There will be a free tour of the exhibition Saturday, Dec. 4 at 12pm. No registration is needed.

Hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am to 5pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm. The Newcomb Art Museum is closed on Mondays. More information is available here.

Eclipsed Performances

The Department of Theatre and Dance will present Eclipsed by Patricia Burke Brogan in the Albert Lupin Memorial Theatre (Ste. 150, Dixon Performing Arts Center Annex) Friday, Dec. 10, through Tuesday, Dec. 14, on the uptown campus. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased here.

Eclipsed is set in 1963 and is based on the real-life hardships and tragedies of Magdalene laundries, which were run by the Roman Catholic Church to correct the behaviors of “fallen women.” The production features an all-female cast and is directed by Monica Payne, assistant professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance, freelance director and the founder of Theatre Lumina — a company devoted to cross-cultural collaboration and international exchange. Performances will be at 7:30pm. with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 2pm. There will be a talkback session with the designers for the show and the director following the performance on Monday, Dec. 13. For more information, click here.

End of the Semester

The last day of classes for undergraduates is Dec. 22. Winter Break for faculty and staff is Dec. 23 through Jan. 4. Tulane University will reopen Jan. 5 and classes for the spring semester begin Jan. 18. The Neighbor Newsletter will return in February 2022.

Online Concern Report Form

Tulane has a centralized online report form for complaints and concerns which is the primary, and preferred, method for submitting any report of concern about a student and his or her behavior, including but not limited to conduct that may violate the Code of Student Conduct. This system allows for efficient routing of concerns to the appropriate office, as well as tracking follow-through on those concerns. Neighbors are welcome to file complaints or concerns using the online system and should select “Neighborhood Relations Concern” under the “Type of Concern.”
