The Green Wave will host their first home football game of the season against University of Alabama at Birmingham at 7:05 p.m. this Saturday, September 25, in Yulman Stadium. City of New Orleans Parking Enforcement can be reached daily 24-hours at (504) 658-8100.
COVID-19
COVID-19 check points will open at 4:00 p.m. Pursuant to the City of New Orleans guidelines, Tulane Athletics will require proof of documentation of a valid COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test within 72 hours for all attendees over the age of twelve (12) to all Tulane Athletic events.
Also in line with city and state guidelines, all attendees over the age of two (2) will be required to wear a mask over their nose and mouth.
Parking
Due to student move-in and repairs from Hurricane Ida and Tropical Storm Nicholas, fans will not be permitted to tailgate or park on Tulane's campus. To accomodate fans, off-campus parking lots throughout Uptown will be utilized. All parking lots will open at 4:00 p.m.
Season Pass Holders:
Those with 2021 football season parking can present their mobile pass for the UAB game at any one of the following lots for first come, first serve parking:
- Loyola Parking Garage
- St. Rita Lot (65 Fontainebleau Dr.)
- Ursuline Lot
Loyola and Ursuline will be walking lots with ADA golf cart shuttles available. A bus shuttle will be available for fans parking in the St. Rita lot that will drop/pick up fans before and after the game on Claiborne Ave. between Versailles Blvd. and Ben Weiner Dr.
Single-Game Parking
The following lots will be pay lots on game day:
- Dominican Lot (7701 Walmsley Ave.)
- Holy Name Lot (6325 Cromwell Pl.)
Holy Name will be a walking lot with ADA golf cart shuttles available. A bus shuttle will be available for fans parking in the Dominican lot that will drop/pick up fans before and after the game on Claiborne Ave. between Versailles Blvd. and Ben Weiner Dr.
Security
TUPD will staff-up and utilize detail NOPD officers for increased coverage of the one-mile area around the uptown campus. The area is: Carrollton to Jefferson and St. Charles to Fontainebleau. Our dedicated Neighborhood Quality of Life Game Day Hotline is: (844) 25-EVENT. All calls to this hotline are routed to TUPD for immediate assistance.
Street Closures / Traffic
Audubon Boulevard will close at 1:00 p.m.
Newcomb Place at Willow Street will close at 4:00 p.m. Only students with a Splash Card being dropped off in an Uber/Lyft will be allowed access to this area.
Ben Weiner Drive and Janet Yulman Way will close at 4:00 p.m.
Parking in the Diboll Garage will be permitted only for students with a move-in placard or students with an active residential parking permit. Students will use Willow Street to access Ben Weiner Drive after 4:00 p.m.
Claiborne Lot will remain closed.
After a street closure, officers will only allow permitted vehicles on those streets. Officers will assist vehicle and pedestrian traffic going to and from Yulman Stadium at intersections along S. Claiborne and Broadway.
Officers will provide security for parking lot attendants and assist vehicles entering and exiting the lots.
