On July 22, 2022, Tulane University and Pangea Construction began construction of the Tulane University Police Department substation at 1036 Broadway St., on the corner of Broadway and Zimpel. The estimated completion date is June 30, 2023.
Anticipated Impact
Those in the near vicinity of the construction site should expect noise from heavy equipment, back up alarms, power tools, hand tools, delivery trucks, dumpster pulls, concrete trucks, construction personnel working etc. They should also expect noise and vibrations from pile driving. Reduced street parking and minor traffic delays can be expected at times.

Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm
Saturday-Sunday: 9:00am-5:00pm
No activity producing a significant level of noise may commence prior to 8:00am. Contractors are authorized to mobilize at the site 30 minutes before the construction start time, but they are not authorized to make excessive noise.
