Tulane University student volunteers will lead a litter cleanup near the uptown campus on Sunday, April 13. The cleanup is part of Love the Boot, a statewide initiative of Keep Louisiana Beautiful. The Tulane University Office of Sustainability and Office of Fraternity and Sororities Programs will host the event.
On the morning of April 13, students will collect litter along stretches of Audubon Street, Broadway Street, Pine Street, and Freret Street wearing bright yellow Love the Boot t-shirts.
This project is part of Tulane's activity as an affiliate to Keep Louisiana Beautiful. The affiliate leads cleanup events, litter surveys, and waste audits to raise awareness and develop programing to reduce litter. The university affiliate program is supported by a research grant from the Environmental Protection Agency to reduce the accumulation of plastics in regional waterways. TUPD Reports Crime Declines |
Great news for the community: The Tulane University Police Department (TUPD) reports a decline in crime across all Tulane campuses. The most recent data reveals a 32% overall decrease in total crimes from 2023 to 2024. This marks a notable 42% drop since 2019.
This trend reflects the success of enhanced safety measures, including increased patrols, additional officers and the opening of a new police station at Broadway and Zimple streets. These initiatives strengthen campus security and contribute to the safety of surrounding neighborhoods. Read about it on the Tulane News website.

Online Concern Report Form |
Tulane has a centralized online report form for complaints and concerns, which is the primary, and preferred, method for submitting any report of concern about a student's behavior, including but not limited to conduct that may violate the Code of Student Conduct.
This system allows for efficient routing of concerns to the appropriate office, as well as tracking follow-through on those concerns. Neighbors are welcome to file complaints or concerns using the online system and should select "Neighborhood Relations Concern" under the "Type of Concern".
